About Us

As a Founder Member and Executive Team Lead, Edson oversees Hope With Africa’s work to deliver on our ambition: Africa for a world where every last youth of all races survives, learns, and is protected without discrimination. He is committed to being open and accountable to our supporters, partners, and most of all, youth and vulnerable groups for a better tomorrow through behavioural change, leadership training, coaching, and mentoring to improve social-emotional development benefits, improvements in youth perceptions of parental, leadership and political relationships, and better prospects for moving on to higher levels of wellbeing to safeguard vulnerable people and countries.

Nigel was born in Scotland, where despite his best efforts, he was dragged, kicking and screaming, into adulthood. One of his favourite pieces of Scottish folk wisdom is: "Why do the angels fly so high? Because they take themselves so lightly." He has travelled to many countries giving motivational talks while seeking to learn about people and cultures, and writing books to share what he has learned. His background and passion is leadership coaching; helping people to realise their potential. He believes that most people and peoples have vast reserves of untapped potential, which, in the right environment, can be realised.
